This Week in Missouri Politics – August 7, 2016

On the next week of This Week in Missouri Politics, the president of the Missouri Alliance for Freedom Ryan Johnson; Jack Spooner of the Spooner Law Firm; Mindy Mazur, a principal of GPS Impact; and Michael Sean Kelley, principal of The Kelley Group join Scott Faughn for a full panel discussion for the episode. The panel discusses the results of Tuesday’s primary, the results of the Republican governor’s race, and how Eric Greitens can attract the state’s most conservative Republicans.

They also discuss the cons of Greitens and Chris Koster, including Greitens’ weakness on policy, his outlandish ads, and possible fundraising problems, as well as possible political opportunism on Koster’s part.

The panel also makes predictions about who wins in the general election in many statewide races, the surprise results on both sides of the aisle in the attorney general’s race, and the matchup between state Sen. Mike Parson and former Congressman Russ Carnahan in the lieutenant governor’s race.

TWMP will air at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Louis area on ABC 30 KDNL and in mid-Missouri on KRCG at 6:00 a.m. The show is available online after noon at twmp.tv.
