This Week in Missouri Politics will change course with campaign season to highlight the Republican gubernatorial primary election in the weeks before the Aug. 8 elections. Each episode will feature a Republican candidate, and the first feature takes a look at Eric Greitens, the political newcomer. Host Scott Faughn discusses Greitens’ fundraising prowess, his service as a Navy SEAL, his work in The Mission Continues and his conservative credentials.
Later on, Faughn welcomes AgXplore CEO Barry Aycock, Jeff Mazur, former State Treasurer Sarah Steelman, and Rep. Caleb Rowden, R-Columbia, to the opinion maker panel. The five discuss Greitens’ run for governor, his outsider credentials and his character. They also discuss the Humphreys family’s $250,000 donation to Greitens’ opponent Peter Kinder.
This Week in Missouri Politics airs Sunday mornings regularly on KRCG in Mid-Missouri at 6:00 a.m. and, due to NBA finals, on KDNL in St. Louis at 10:00 ap.m., and is available online Sunday afternoons at twmp.tv.
